Peace is the ground on which every other gain is built. Land and water disputes, if left unmanaged, can undo a season's work and reopen old divisions.
ALDO promotes dialogue, reconciliation, and peaceful coexistence, supports conflict prevention and community mediation, and engages young people directly in peacebuilding. Because ALDO's mobilizers work inside communities, they are positioned to help resolve disputes early, before they escalate.
This is governance and social cohesion achieved through practical, everyday work: neighbours negotiating shared resources fairly, and youth channelled into productive collective activity rather than conflict.
