Education is how a generation breaks the cycle of crisis. In South Sudan, where a girl is more likely to die in childbirth than to complete secondary school, access to learning is both a right and a lifeline.
ALDO supports access to quality education for children and youth, provides vocational and entrepreneurship training, and promotes literacy and life skills for women and young people who were denied schooling by years of displacement and conflict. The aim is practical: skills that translate into income, and confidence that translates into voice.
Youth are placed at the centre of this work, not at its margins. Training the next generation of farmers, tradespeople, and community leaders is how ALDO invests in a South Sudan that can eventually stand on its own.
