Privacy policy.

How ALDO collects, uses and protects the personal data you share through this website.

Who we are. The Agrarian Livelihoods Development Organization (ALDO) is a national NGO registered in the Republic of South Sudan, with its office at Hai Mauna, Juba. This policy explains how we handle personal data collected through this website, aligned with GDPR-equivalent standards of protection.

What we collect. We collect only the information you choose to give us: your name, organization, email address, and message content when you use our contact form or newsletter signup; your name, email address, country, and gift amount when you donate; and your phone number when you contact us by WhatsApp or telephone.

How we use it. We use your information solely to respond to your inquiry, process and receipt your donation, send the newsletter you subscribed to, or consider your application. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data. Ever.

Payments. Online card and mobile money gifts are processed by our licensed payment partner, Flutterwave. Your card or mobile wallet details are entered on the partner’s secure checkout and are never seen or stored by ALDO. We keep a record of each gift (amount, currency, date, reference, and your name and email) to issue receipts and meet our audit obligations.

Cookies and analytics. This site sets a small number of cookies: one to remember the language you choose, and the standard cookies used when ALDO staff sign in. If analytics are switched on, we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate visitor patterns; no analytics data is used to identify individuals. Our contact page shows an embedded Google map, and pages you choose to translate use Google’s translation service; both are provided by Google under its own privacy terms.

Retention and security. We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was given, protect it with access controls and encryption in transit, and restrict access to authorized staff. Donation records are kept for as long as financial regulations and audit requirements demand.

Your rights. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by writing to info@aldoss.org. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by replying to any issue. We respond within thirty days.

Children. This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect children’s data online. Our field-level child safeguarding standards are described on the About page.
